Luc Bissonnette is an assistant professor of economics at Laval University (Québec City, Canada). He specializes in econometric, economic data science and labour economics. During his atypical career, after a few years in academia studying the economics of demographic changes, he moved to the private sector and spent some time as the principal quantitative consultant (senior director) for Gartner’s TalentNeuron, an online tool providing advanced labour market analytics to help recruiters find new talents. Since October 2018, he is back at Laval University teaching applied econometrics and policy evaluation.
